Structure of Life

There is only one thing in this world that we need to understand - every thing we do in life has consequences and those consequences requires great responsibilities –

their consequences. We need to learn to face it and take control of it. When we face trouble in life we become upset, feeling lost, miserable for what we have done wrong but no one to blame but our selves.

Sometimes we question God “Why did God structure life this way?” full of sorrows, full of anxiety and trials – when God could have created life so that suffering would be impossible. If so, we would be in a world now with no pain, knowing only grace and peace.

So why didn’t He?

My answer is I don’t know.

But I do know that at the heart of His earthly creation is the freedom to make choices. So in the sense we can’t have it both ways – the freedom to choose and no hurt resulting from our choices. The freedom gives us space, in which we make choices but with that comes consequences.

No body is perfect as we were born a sinner and making mistakes is just simply a big part of our making. The best gift in a life is the freedom that we have in it to be who we want to be and to have a life of our choosing. Again such great rewards with it comes great responsibilities.

But we must learn to look at ourselves in a greater image that although we make mistakes, we can also take mistakes and learn from it. Falling is part of life and it is what we do after we have fallen is what makes one a better person - we have to look with better eyes to face our mistakes and determine the value of lesson it carries.

Sadly, many of our poor choices hurt us most, and hurt others too. We see the devastating result and we sometimes blame God more for what we’ve done wrong.

What are we going to do when things get so complicated? When things are all messed up? What are we going to do when we totally self-destruct and fails?

Are we just going to sit in one corner and do nothing? Feeling hopeless? Blaming God with all the wrong things that we selfishly created?

- No! of course not!

We need to move on and start fixing our messes and develop a new life with new hope. We cannot live all the time with repeating the same mistakes, and living the same scenario. Life is not all about pain and sufferings but also about love, joy and grace.

It is the unchangeable purpose of God to exalt those who are willing to submit, and God is abundantly able to accomplish it in love to those one who in trouble. And God is waiting for us to say, “Lord, I am tired, I can’t carry this burden anymore.” God is willing to take that pain, the burden we carry for so long – all we need to do is let it go – and put your trust in the Lord that He will give you a new spirit and new life that will bring glory to you and to God - as we move on, we give God the will to reconstruct our lives.

"Pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasure, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world." - C.S. Lewis

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." - Jesus Christ, John 14:27

Thank you Laarni for yet another moving and inspiring reflections on Life.

God gave us Life and much more. He also gave us the freedom and the will to live it as we choose. To me that makes Life perfect. We are both the car and the driver driving it but we need God as the key to drive and to guide it. Life in general is full of choices and to make it ours, all we have to do is to choose. How simple and easy is that, the power is ours to make. But here’s a thought, A person who believes in God gives importances to making the Right choice and the right path to take because we all wants to be someplace at one point in time and hopefully that is to be with God. If that is the case then we must first reach down deep inside, look beyond the choice before we make them, consider what ever consequence it may bring from giving considerations on what we want and need and hope and dream about versus the people the surrounds us and more importantly to ourselves. It is understandable to expect of getting everything that we want in life but the reality is that we can’t simply because not everything that we want are what we need. We can only see that after the fact but God knows it even before. So that is where Faith comes in.

It is like we are all artist and God gave as a canvas and a paint brush and then asked us. “ How do you want me to see you as ? ”

We can paint anything we want and we can be whom ever we choose to be but with such power comes great responsibilities. Only with the grace of Jesus is what can get us to Heaven but he let the judgment up to us. He gave us the way for us to take if we choose.
